Smith Gilliam Williams & Miles Attorney, Steve Gilliam, has been appointed a member of the Board of the Gainesville and Hall County Development Authority in 2013 by the Hall County Board of Commissioners.

As a partnership between Hall County, City of Gainesville and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, the Gainesville and Hall County Development Authority exists in order to aid in job creation and investment in the area’s economic development.  The Authority accomplishes this through business recruitment and assisting in private companies’ expansion.

By attracting businesses to Gainesville and Hall County while participating in business expansion assistance, the Authority helps expand the development of the City of Gainesville and Hall County economic and societal growth throughout the area.
