Steve Gilliam served on the faculty of the Gary Christy Memorial Georgia Trial Skills Clinic on June 27 and 28 for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia. The clinic, sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia, is held at the University of Georgia School of Law. For four days law students are given training and guidance by faculty, made up of experienced litigators. During the clinic students must also prepare for a mock trial where they perform the role of the trial counsel. More than 20 of Georgia’s finest attorneys and judges are part of this event each year. The annual event gives students an opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in a realistic trial setting. Gilliam has served as a mentor for this event for the past two years. Thank you to all of the faculty who make this event possible year after year. Below are some comments from last years clinic attendees.
“Best seminar I have ever attended.”
“The information was invaluable!”
“We were lucky to have such wonderful faculty, panelists and witnesses.”
“Fantastic learning opportunity.”
“I got the training I never had in law school. By far the most useful CLE I’ve taken.”
